Quantitative PCR (qPCR) and reverse transcription qPCR (RT-qPCR) are utilized to monitor the amplification of a targeted DNA molecule and for quantification of mRNA, microRNA and lncRNA expression, respectively. It is well known that qPCR-based approaches for gene expression studies have a superior sensitivity, specificity, linear dynamic range of quantification, as well as a high level of flexibility, making RT-qPCR the gold standard for targeted expression analysis in the diagnostic space.

“Biogazelle has leading expertise in RNA and miRNA technology and sample testing.”
Principal Research Scientist at top 10 pharma company (Dutch division)
Over the years, Biogazelle has performed various qPCR projects for its customers, both in research and clinical trial settings, including:
Biogazelle’s founders Prof Jo Vandesompele and Dr Jan Hellemans have published landmark papers in the field of qPCR-based gene expression analysis, being cited more than 20,000 times. In our laboratories, we have processed tens of thousands of clinical samples, including various types of body fluids and FFPE material using qPCR for quantification of both protein coding messenger RNAs and non-coding microRNAs and long non-coding RNAs.
